3. Aftercare

After receiving a Cutera Secret Pro Treatment, it is important to follow the aftercare advice recommended by Dr Saba Raja.

Keep the treated area clean and dry
Wear a sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher
Avoid activities that might cause excessive sweating
Avoid picking, scratching or rubbing the treated area
Avoid applying any cosmetics or other products on the treated area for 48 hours

While the treatment is non-surgical, some downtime should be expected. RF microneedling typically involves 2–3 days of redness and mild downtime, while the fractional CO2 laser can require 7–10 days for full recovery. We recommend planning your treatment with this in mind to allow your skin to heal properly.

While some improvement can be seen after just one session, most patients require 1–3 treatments for the best and longest-lasting results. We’ll create a personalised treatment plan for you during your consultation to ensure you get the outcome you’re looking for.

To ensure your comfort during the treatment, we apply a 10% topical anaesthetic beforehand. You may still experience a sensation of heat and slight discomfort during the procedure, but this is completely normal and manageable.
